I'm nice . . . Who knew?

My buddy Kristen, writer of From There to Here and Back, just nominated me for a "nice" award:

This award is for those bloggers who are nice people; good blog friends and those who inspire good feelings and inspiration. Also for those who are a positive influence on our blogging world. Once you’ve been awarded please pass it on to 7 others who you feel are deserving of this award.

I was especially tickled since I was coming off of a week (or maybe even ten days) when I hadn't been feeling particularly nice. It's good to be reminded that niceness is a quality to celebrate. So, I get to now nominate seven other bloggers who are richly deserving of this award . . .

Bev Marshall, St. Tammany Writers Group

Larramie, Seize a Daisy

The Fun Women at The Good Girls Kill for Money Club

Melanie Lynne Hauser, Refrigerator Door

Therese Fowler, Making it Up

The wonderful women at The Writers' Group

Mary Evelyn Lewis, The Virtual Wordsmith

(I would have also nominated Lisa at Eudaemonia, but Kristen beat me to it!)

So, there you go. I'll close by quoting some advice my grandmother gave at her 100th birthday celebration: "Be nice. It makes a difference."

P.S. I just read a nice review of my novel; you can read it here

I knew (and so does everyone else!

Thanks for thinking similarly of me. :)

Now it would be nice if I would get some serious writing done today....

Judy,

You're so nice to think we're nice! Loved your review on Roses and Thorns. I hope all is well with your WIP.

Therese-Thanks, and here's to good writing days for each of us!

Hey! I said the same thing about you after Kristen nominated me :)

Thank you Judy for being so nice and nominating me. The award states, "Nice Matters," but I also think of it along the lines of "Nice Manners."

That was a lovely review for you and All the Numbers, highlighting what's important in life -- "buy the shoes." It doesn't get any nicer than that for you or the recipient!

Nice interview!! I didn't have a chance to read it until now.

Aw, Judy, you're so sweet to nominate the Good Girls--thanks!!! : )

I have to say that it doesn't surprise me in the least that you were nominated. Talk about well-deserved!

Lisa, Larramie and Tasha-I guess nice attracts nice, huh?

AWWW! Sweet nice you! I think my blog is nice only because I haven't posted since June something or other. But seriously, every single person who has met you knows you're the supreme "nice" gal, the one we all aspire to clone. Thanks, sweetheart!

Hi Judy, I'm coming over from Lisa's site. My book is going to be in the Ballantine Reader's Circle program. How did that work for you? If you would rather comment privately (and if you're willing), please email me.
Thanks!
